About

Golaghat Engineering College is the 6th approved engineering college of Assam located at Bogorijeng Golaghat. It is spread over an area of 110 Bighas (44 acres) with a clearly demarked boundary wall. The college currently provides undergraduate 4 year degree course in three branches namely:-

• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering,

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering and

• B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.

The first batch of students got admitted to this college in August, 2018. It is equipped with state of the art infrastructure.

Its geographic location is 26°33' longitude and 93°58' latitude. It is located at a distance of 5 kms from Golaghat Town and 22 kms from NH37 at Dergaon. The nearest railway station is Golaghat Railway Station, Golaghat which is 6.3 Kms away from the college. The nearest Railway Junction is at Furkating, which is approximately 13 Kms away from the college. The Rowriah Airport, situated at a distance of 35 Kms from the college, is the nearest civil airport. Regular bus and train services are available from Golaghat to Guwahati.

It has one Academic block, 1 Administrative block, 2 numbers of Workshop buildings, 1 Guest house, 1 Electrical Substation, 1 fourth grade residential building, 1 Boys’ and 1 Girls’ hostel and a Principal’s Residence within the campus at present. Within a span of six months of its inception, the college has established 26 numbers of functional laboratories in the College

With a growing strength of dedicated students and faculty members, the college has been fostering a spirit of innovation and excellence, establishing itself as a beacon of learning in the region.

Admission Process

Admission through CEE

Admission through Lateral Entry (JLEE)

Students seeking admission after Higher Secondary Examination of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, or its equivalent are admitted through a Common Entrance Examination conducted by the Government of Assam.

The Government of Assam conducts a Lateral Entry Entrance Examination for Diploma students which can be opted after completion of the 3-year Polytechnic Diploma from the state of Assam for getting admission to the B.Tech programs in 3rd semester.
